following services: Some of the projects I am currently taking the lead on during my free time include: 1. Rwanda's first public library project in cooperation with the Kigali Rotary Club and the West El Paso Rotary Foundation. A friend of mine donated over 300 coffee mugs to use in helping to raise funds to complete the library. 2. Development of www.iloveparks.com where I focus on encouraging people to connect with parks and take action on both conservation and humanitarian projects. 3. Using my network and information I post on www.iloveparks.com I am working to support Senator Brownback and others who are helping to end the violence in the Congo that has killed over 4 million people over the past 10 years (more than the number of people killed during World War II). This violence is also hurting many endangered species in the country's rainforests, most notably CRITICALLY endangered mountain gorillas (less than 700 survive in the world today). 4. I am working with Rotary Districts 5520 and 4110 (Mexico) in helping to establish a US/Mexico International Park in the Big Bend National Park region of West Texas and northern Mexico. 5. I plan to publish a book promoting ecotourism at Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda later this year. I have been working on this project for over 2 ½ years as a volunteer. 6. I am helping the Franklin Mountains Wilderness Coalition in an effort to protect important habitat in the Castner Range area with the ultimate goal of adding the land to Franklin Mountains State Park.
